Hiatt Youth & Family Concert on Thursday, May 20th, 9:45 am, at the Strand Theatre in Dorchester’s Upham’s Corner neighborhood. We welcome the Pope John Paul II Academy Choir (Jane Money, Artistic Director) and the 200 violinists of the Pope John Paul II Academy (directed by Mary Swanton) for a program which will be as spectacular for the eyes as for the ears.
This very popular event has been designed to introduce children (grades 3 – 8) and their families to the joy of great orchestral music. After the concert, the audience may participate in the “petting zoo of instruments”, an opportunity to meet professional musicians as well as to experience their instruments up close.
